Updates

Things are going well here! After a long battle with the bank, M&T, who after this process we would highly suggest never using, we are cruising along on our home renovation. They made many errors throughout the application process causing our contractor to move at a slow speed at the beginning. However, now he is flying, hardly taking a day off to get us back into our house before Meg's parents arrive home after a long winter in FLORIDA!

The boys are enjoying Grandma's and Papa's house. They play hockey nonstop and will not leave the house without their pucks(right Mary Ellen and Don?). However they do ask us, "When are we going home?" This early spring weather has us missing our playground and the neighborhood children. We have made do though with Skaneateles Lake in our backyard!

We have decided to send Gavin to UPK this fall after a lot of debate. He is still very shy at school and does not always show them how much he can do. We are working with him at home, and we see way more progess than they do. Oh well. Boys will be boys...if they could only see him shoot a puck! Back to UPK...he will go 5 days a week and will take a bus (unless the JE school budget eliminates the bus). Schools everywhere are expecting huge cuts due to failing state budgets. Yes, my job might be in jeopardy as I am one of the newer hires in my district. I won't know officially until the end of April, though as of late things look good. I am looking at things positively though as I am lucky that my husband has a good job and I have 2 little dudes who would love to have Mommy home! However, its tough to watch how education is getting hit hard. The kids will be in such large class sizes with little extra to do but work as special areas are getting really hit hard. I just don't see cutting in education as the way to go.

We are looking forward to moving back into our home, and will be putting up picks of the process when it's complete. We don't want to upload any now as we want the shock factor when its finally complete! :-)
