Today we sat outside on our blanket and played with toys with our friend, MacKenzie. We play outside everyday from 4:45 until Daddy pulls in the driveway. Gavin loves to see that black explorer coming down the street!

Today Gavin went to ride the carousel at the mall. Despite being with his daddy, he didn't seem to like it once it started moving. Then we hung out, swam, and he spent some time with Mommy.

Carnival

We went to the Pirate Penny Carnival with our friends, the Whites. The kids were a little young to play most of the games. However, they loved playing in the little pool with the boats.

Visit from Uncle J

Uncle Jason and Aunt Christine came to visit! As you can see, they are very comfortable with a baby. Gavin is eagerly awaiting a cousin guys!

Playgroup

Today we had our playgroup at our friend, Sally's, house. As you can see it was like going to Toys R Us! We had a blast!

Gavin always seems to know where his best friend, Christian, is. He will crawl across the room and over people and toys to get over to where he is. Very cute!

Lacrosse, lacrosse, and more lacrosse

This poor child better like sports! Today we went to Uncle Patrick's Simmons League game in Camillus. As you can see, Gavin looks all to familiar with this aspect of life. He has been attending Uncle Patrick's sporting events since week 3 of life!

Day at Grandma's

Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle Patrick have been out of town for awhile, so we thought we would go over there for the day! Gavin is finally using his walker to zoom around Grandma's big family room. He has only been going backwards for a month or so, but now he is speed racer! Gavin also spent a lot of time, for the first time, playing with Uncle Patrick. As you can see, Patrick will make sure Gavin is a good laxer.
Gavin has also been enthralled lately with knocking things down. Patrick took this as a challenge, and actually built a tall tower of cups before King Kong Gavin came and knocked it over!

Gavin's Morning Workout

Gavin likes to get up around 6:30, eat and then work on moving faster so he can beat everyone down the lacrosse field. He crawls around the house looking for new things to touch or play with. However, as soon as he hears his favorite TV personality, he must hurry to the living room.

Fourth of July...a big holiday for a future West Point Cadet...class of 2027!

9 month doctor appointment

Gavin is doing great! He has reached and surpassed all of the milestones for his age. He has been crawling for over a month and a half, is standing and walking while holding on to his walker, eating table foods well, babbling and saying words, playing peekaboo and clapping. More importantly, he is making baskets in his basketball hoop, cradling his lacrosse stick lefty, and learning the J-E-T-S jets jets jets cheer. He is growing well, and is the 76% for his height, 29 1/4 inches! Daddy is very happy about that. He weighs just shy of 20 lbs which makes him tall and skinny! Though some days it seems like all we do if feed this kid! Since he is so mobile, he has a great metabolism! All in all, he's fabulous!

Im going to be a big brother!

Yes indeed, Gavin is going to have a little brother! ETA sometime in mid to late December! This will be it for the Johnston family! Our family will be complete! Mommy and her 3 boys! AHHH!!!
