The Johnston Family's attempt at Pumpkin Carving

Here I am at the beginning...this is fun!

Okay...a little gross...I won't even put my hand in there. Luckily, Mommy will!

Too many seeds for me to count. Mommy used to have her 4th grade class count and graph the amount of seeds in a bunch of pumpkins. Luckily, she doesn't make me do it...yet!
AHHHH!!! This is not much fun anymore.

Okay, both pumpkins ready for carving..."Daddy, we are ready!" "Lets see what you got!"
Ummm...Mommy carving away!
Where's Daddy you ask? He carved for 15 seconds and said, "This is to hard, I can't do this." Luckily, in the Emmer family, there is a motto, "Never say can't." So, Mommy saved the day and did it herself.

The finished product...keep in mind, this is Mommy's first ever carving attempt. Her daddy used to do all the carving back in the day!

The Gav Pumpkin
The Sort-of Scary Face Pumpkin

The 2 together!

Don't worry Daddy, we still love you and think you are the best Daddy in the world. And Mommy, for some reason our pumpkins don't glow as bright as they should. I think we need better candles for Halloween night.

Enchanted Village at Beaver Lake

Mommy, Daddy and I went to Beaver Lake tonight. Here they have over 500 pumpkins that were entered into a carving contest. You go at night and they have them all lit up! Very fun! Hope Daddy can carve mine as good as these! We'll see tomorrow night!

That's a big pumpkin!
As you can see, we like the sports ones...

Yes, Mommy still loves the Jets...even though they didn't do to well today. She's a dedicated fan.

Zoo Boo!

Tonight we went to the zoo for Zoo BOO! We went with my girlfriend, 'Kenzie and her family. As you can see, I was thrilled to be in costume...ha ha ha! Yeah, I'm a big boy now!
Here we are at a puppet show
Kenzie and her Daddy dancing! What a cute Minnie Mouse!
Yummy, penguin glowstick!

It was fun, but the slight rain put a damper on things...we'll be back next year though!

Busy Week

Mommy has had a lot of doctor's appointments this week which means I got to spend a lot of time with Grandma. Also, I met a new friend, Bella Powell. She is a few months older than me, and I have a feeling we will be lacrosse buddies for life...she is great! Between her daddy, Casey, and my Grandpa, I'm sure I will be a great lax player!

Aw..family hug from my Grandma and Grandpa Emmer

Here I am sliding down the slide all by myself!

Happy Birthday, Christian! Now that you are officially one, you are ready to be a big brother! Any time now Sally! :-)

SU Midnight Madness

I guess now that we live in Syracuse, the time has come to finally root for the Orange....at least their basketball team. (Doubt Meghan can route for their lax team, but time will tell.) We went to the opening events for the program and had a great time. We even bit the bullet and did the, "let's go Orange" cheer.

Best part of the night...the shattering of the backboard 2 minutes into the scrimmage...wow! ESPN #2 in the top ten plays.
Jim Boeheim and Bill Rafferty....2 of College Bball's greatest

Thanks Grandma for babysitting so we could enjoy this! Don't worry Gavin, you get to go next year!

Kidz Club with 'Kenzie

My girlfriend and I went to Kidz Club on Friday..we had a blast!

Reading with Daddy

Daddy reading Money and I'm reading Runaway Bunny (upside down version)

Okay, I'm done...but Daddy isn't....hmmm
Now he is!
"AHHHH," what are you going to do Daddy??? Runaway like the bunny? Don't worry...I'll find you!

Yeah!

We finally have a walker! He still prefers to crawl, but will walk when he wants too! We are very excited...but very nervous about this new found freedom! This isn't the best video...whenever we turn the camera on, he turns and falls down...so this is only a quick lil' walk where he is distracted by "Friends".
