MIA

Yes, I will take blame for this break from blogging again. This time there are 2 reasons. First off, I couldn't find the camera. It was found though. Secondly, many of you know, other's do not...I have decided to return to the classroom this fall! I was offered a great teaching job at Cato-Meridian teaching 5th grade and I have started back slowly by doing some curriculum days this summer. We hired an awesome Nanny who will come to take care of the boys from 8-3 M-F. Her name is Maggie, and she's a blast. She has watched the boys for the 5 days I have done so far, and I come home to a clean house and very happy kids...I'm very impressed! Getting back out into the "real world" has been a change, but a good change. We are all very excited for the upcoming year!

Lax + Brooklyn Pickle = FUN!

Uncle Patrick had a lax game today and we, as usual, all went! He has been playing a lot lately with both his HS team, Skaneateles Lakers, and the Syracuse Roadhawk Team.

Gavin loves to wear his lax shirt to the games, and notice the socks...we are getting him ready for West Genny.

Friday Flashback

Gavin swimming last year!

Swimming Lesson #1

Though we have a great pool behind our house, Gavin is just not a fan of water. We have enrolled him in "swimming lessons", aka...sing songs and prance around in the water. Throughout the lesson, all we heard Gavin saying was "done" and "night night". He wasn't having any of it. But, by the end of lesson one, we had him Humpty Dumptying into the pool! Who knows where we'll be after a month of lessons!!!




Yes, Daddy did the lessons. Mommy isn't bathing suit in public ready!

Red Robin, Daddy's Favorite!

Tonight we went to Red Robin to spend Aunt Barb's gift card. We had a great dinner, and decided to hang out until 6 when the Robin comes around. That was a mistake...Gavin was terrified! Oh well. Dinner was great as usual...Thanks Strocko's!!!

MOST

We went the Museum of Science and Technology (MOST) today. We thought Gavin would love it there because of the huge climbing area. However, it was very crowded and very loud and he hated it. Poor guy!

The Zoo

today we went to the Rosemond Gifford Zoo in Syracuse. Gavin loves the penguins! Here he is with Grandpa Johnston watching the "gwinny"

The Johnston's Visit!

Great Grandma, Grandpa and Grandma Johnston came to visit us this week. We stayed at Mimi and Papa Jack's Lake House in Skaneateles so we could all have tons of space!



We walked up and down the hill to the lake many times!
